Why Volunteer
Why?
Volunteering is an excellent way to become involved in a new sport or take up a new sport for the first time - or perhaps you want to develop your skills in an existing sport. The types of roles you can do are endless - administration, coaching, umpiring, marketing, sports editor and many more.
Its a great way to meet new people and make new friends who have similar interests to you. It's also an easy way to gain experience - whether that be in specific roles such as coaching or umpiring - or maybe experience of leadership or being involved in large community events.
You will also develop more confidence, learn new skills, enhance your current skills and have the opportunity to take part in workshops and local sporting events. Having "volunteering" on your CV can also help you when applying for University, College and even full time employment.
How can I get involved?
If you are aged between 16 and 19yrs adn are interested in getting involved with supporting a local sports club or organisation, then please contact Amanda Shepherd.
