Clubmark
We maintain an up to date list of clubs in Cheshire and Warrington which have attained Club Mark accreditation, click here to view.
Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. Introduced by Sport England in 2002, it is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards. Clubmark is endorsed by all the main sporting, youth and education agencies involved in delivery of sporting opportunity for young people as the accreditation scheme for clubs with quality assured junior sections.
NGB Clubmark
Currently 33 National Governing Bodies (NGB's) are licensed to award Clubmark. If your sport is among the 33 licensed to award Clubmark then you should contact your local Sport Development Officer (see below), and inform them that you wish to work towards Clubmark.
CWSP Clubmark
If your sport is not one of the 31 currently licensed, then you will be pleased to hear that the Cheshire & Warrington Sports Partnership gained our licence to award CWSP Clubmark in 2009 to any sports clubs that participate in a sport recognised by Sport England, and are affiliated to the recognised National Governing Body for that sport.
Interested in working towards the CWSP Clubmark?
- Complete, and return a Clubmark registration form.
- Then, get in touch with the relevant Local Authority Club Development Officers, and see what help and advice they can offer you.
- Cheshire West - Sport Cheshire
- Cheshire East - Andy Molyneux
- Warrington - Tom Haworth - Your Club Development Officer will provide you with a Clubmark Folder, and go through the process with you.
- It should take between 2-6 months to complete your folder and your Club Development Officer will be able to assist you along the way (with advice, and funding in certain cases).
- Once you have completed your Clubmark Folder, you will need to get your folder assessed. The easiest way to do this is to hand your folder to your Club Development Officer, who will then bring your folder to our Clubmark Assesor Panel.
