The Cheshire County Council are a principle partner in the Sport Cheshire Partnership and fund Sport Cheshire, an independent trust.

The Chester City Council Sports Development Unit works with the community to provide more and improved sport and leisure activities which are affordable, of good quality, accessible and relevant to all. The Sports Development Team is part of a network of sports and leisure providers in the area, including voluntary sports clubs, schools and leisure centres.

The Amenities and Leisure Services Division provides a wide range of sport, leisure and recreational opportunities. It is also responsible for the Council's landscape, market and cemetery services.

The Community Leisure Department offers a wide range of sporting activities and opportunities within the borough with something to suit all tastes, abilities and interests.

The Community Leisure team works in partnership with a host of clubs, associations, schools, voluntary organisations and individuals to provide leisure and activities in the borough.

The Sport Development unit aim to offer something for everyone, whether it's to keep mentally and physically active, meet people and make friends, take up a new interest, develop and learn new skills or just make the most of your leisure time.

The Macclesfield Borough Council Sports Development Team works with the community to promote sporting opportunities for young people with the goal of achieving long term participation. The team helps to co-ordinate sports provision and enable opportunities in sport.

The Sports Development Team is part of a network of sports and leisure providers in the area, including voluntary sports clubs, schools and leisure centres. The team works closely with other sports development units in the County as part of the Sport Cheshire Partnership.
