Volunteering Opportunities
You Donate and we Compensate! - We need volunteers for a variety of roles for the Cheshire and Warrington Partnership Youth Games and Sports Fair.... Saturday 11th October 2008, Flexible Hours to suit you, and in return Volunteers will receive free clothing, food, drink and access to free training.
Examples of Roles include:
PRE-EVENT
Key Areas
· To support the recruitment and coordination of all volunteers involved in the Games - 15 Volunteers from each Local Authority, focusing on Key volunteers (Screening, Roles and Responsibilities, Clothing, Training)
· To support the design and delivery of the Partnership Youth Games promotional material including the Partnership Programme, and to manage the print production process.
· Monitoring and Evaluation – pre and post event
· To be involved in the publicity of the event through various means, Website and other PR
ON THE DAY
· Site Set up from 7.30am onwards – Banners, Tents, Signage.
· Event Control and Information Support - Helping the event run smoothly by answering competitor and spectator questions, providing information and making sure the event is as safe and child friendly as possible.
· Car Parking Stewards - Direct car and coaches to appropriate areas, answer any general car parking queries, have a basic knowledge of what sports are where, keep control of parking at all times, ensure car parking entrances and exits are manned at all times. To not permit anyone without a pass into the car park. When car parks are full to ensure that car park full signs are displayed.
· Site Maintenance - Litter picking, Bins, Health and Safety.
· Site breakdown - Helping dismantle the sites, which requires a degree of physical fitness and manual handling. (Late Saturday afternoon)

Providing feedback on your experience of volunteering and Games so that we can continue to improve what we offer volunteers.
