Maximising Pools and Swimming for Life
(Monday 24th) is aimed at everyone involved in developing aquatic based community health programmes and features key topics such as; cutting pool running costs, tackling obesity, retaining customers and creating innovative school holiday programmes.
Michael Hunt, swimnorthwest Director commented: “Day one will provide interactive workshops and targeted training opportunities for clubs and individuals in the region. We hope that this will help clubs to develop their structures allowing them to retain their members, and attract a whole new generation of future swimmers, divers, water polo players and synchronised swimmers.”
“For day two we have pulled in both regional and national expertise to help support and guide our regional facility operators and health partners in addressing key issues of the day - including cutting pool running costs, tackling obesity, retaining and recruiting new customers and developing innovative pool programmes.
Hunt added: “The workshops are based on solid examples of good practice and we hope that delegates will be able to take back and make use of these in their own pool environment”.
