Introduction

"Hi my name is Rob Burchell and I have as of 1st April started my new role as the Senior Sports Development Officer with Warrington Borough Council. I will be heading up the sports side of the Art and Sports Engagement team (ASET), a joint team of Arts and Sports Development officers working on projects and themes to enable Sport and Arts participation, engagement and development throughout our authority.

I come to the role having project managed a Sport England NW Pilot called "Coaching North West" for the last 2 years, and am looking forward to working with the team as they settle into their new roles looking after the strategic themes of Community, Pathways and Health. I hope to use these first few weeks to absorb as much information about Warrington and its partners to make sure we can have the most positive impact in our future work.
