New Recruits

A huge welcome to Rob Burchell Coach Development Manager and Chris Donnelly Basketball Development Officer....two new recruits for Cheshire & Warrington Sports Partnership.

Welcome Rob:

“My role is one of 49 across the country looking into Coach and Coaching Development across the partnership. As Cheshire and Warrington are in the first phase of these new positions, we really want partners to help us shape where my role fits into their plans to make a difference in Coaching. Some strategic areas my role will be looking into will be:

•Systems for recruiting, developing and deploying coaches
•Supporting NGB’s with their coach development
•Creating a demand led coaching structure
•Becoming the “glue” that links NGB’s with SSP’s, LA’s and other partners so we can find priorities and areas where we can all work together to meet targets.

Welcome Chris:

I am thrilled to be on board and part of CW Sports Partnership! My main responsibility is to create and maintain more competitions for participants 16 years of age and upward. Cheshire County is very fortunate to have some wonderful and dedicated people working in the basketball community. I have made it a priority to meet with all of the clubs and school partnerships in the county to see how I can further assist them to develop and meet their goals. Basketball is an excellent tool that can be used to engage and involve the young and old.
