Cheshire & Warrington is one of England's most active areas

The Active People Survey is the largest ever survey of sport and active recreation to be undertaken in Europe. The latest set of quarterly results, based on data from April 2009 to April 2010, was published on 17 June 2010. For adult sport participation (at least three sessions a week, 30 minutes of moderate intensity) the figures show we have recorded a figure of 19.4%, the second highest of the 49 areas within England.
