Advanced Standard for Safeguarding Children and Young People

The Cheshire & Warrington Sports Partnership is delighted to announce that it has achieved the Advanced Standard for Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport.

As part of our committment to children and young people in sport and physical activity we developed the CWSP Safeguarding Policy (The power of sport in Safeguarding Children and young people) and supporting resources, including s Safeguarding i-card tool. We have now established a Safeguarding through Sport group. This includes representation from Local Authorities, NGBs of Sport. The group will champion Safeguarding in Sport throughout Cheshire and Warrington and will ultimatley produce guidence documents for clubs and other organisations.
