The Cheshire & Warrington Sports Partnership awards evening 2009 was held at the Queen Hotel Chester on Friday 13th November. Over 250 people attended the evening, with guests enjoying a drinks reception with entertainment provided by Wayne Devlin, a luxurious 4 course meal followed by a glittering awards ceremony hosted by Mitch Fenner, the voice of BBC athletics.

The evening inlcuded an inpsitationnal talk by Marc Woods, giving his journey from cancer victim to multiple gold medalist swimmer, who in his 17 years of competition he won a staggering 12 Paralympic medals from 5 Games, 4 of those medals being gold. Marc also won a further 21 medals from European and World Championships.

Guests were able to have their photograph taken with the Challenge Cup which was kindly loaned by one of our sponsors, Warrington Wolves Rugby Football League Club.
