- supporting the development, delivery and review of the PE and Sport Strategy for young people
- hosting the annual Partnership Youth Sport Games and the Awards Evening.
- contributing to the local sport stakeholder groups for Building Schools for the Future
- undertaking desk research to produce local intelligence to aid local authority activity
- providing guidance to partners and clubs on safeguarding standards to ensure the safety of vulnerable persons taking part in sport and physical activity across the Partnership
- developing and advocating the 2012 legacy framework to ensure maximum benefit from the 2012 Olympics across the Partnership
- contributing to the development of clubs within the partnership by, for example, supporting and adding value to the work being undertaken at a local level by the Local Authority’s Club Development Officers and running a comprehensive coach education programme
