Cheshire & Warrington Sports Partnership is a local network of agencies and organisations committed to working together to increase participation in sport and physical activity. The partnership is led and shaped by Cheshire & Warrington County Sports Partnership (CSP) who also maintain and manage this website! We are one of 49 'County Sports Partnerships' (CSP's) across England, aspiring to create an active and successful sporting legacy across the county.
Our aim is to create a 'single system' whereby a number of partners work together to widen access, create clear pathways and improve levels of performance in sport and physical activity. Ultimately we work together to increase participation in sport and physical activity within Cheshire and Warrington.
So far, the partnership has made good progress. The latest set of the Active People Survey results (the largest ever survey of sport and active recreation to be undertaken in Europe) show we have recorded a figure of 19.4% for adult sport participation (at least three sessions a week, 30 minutes of moderate intensity), the second highest of the 49 areas within England.
